Abstract
În contextul retragerii suportului tehnic oferit de compania Microsoft pentru mediul de programare Visual FoxPro, începând cu anul 2016 s-a impus necesitatea identificării unor noi soluții viabile în vederea continuării și implicit îmbunătățirii calității modelului de calcul al indicelui producției industriale la nivelul Direcțiilor teritoriale de statistică din România. Un alt avantaj major al utilizării acestui model este reprezentat de valorificarea potențialului statisticienilor din departamentele de sinteză ale Direcțiilor teritoriale de statistică prin renunțarea la dezvoltarea de aplicații informatice specifice unor medii de programare fără o interfață grafică intuitivă și utilizarea unei platforme mai prietenoase, care să permită focalizarea predominantă a atenției personalului implicat asupra esenței statistice a conținutului datelor procesate. În același timp, utilizarea pachetului Microsoft Access contribuie esențial și la procesul general de reducere a costurilor, având în vedere faptul că acesta este deja preinstalat pe majoritatea calculatoarelor instituției.
În lucrarea de față sunt descrise la nivel detaliat principalele coordonate de natură metodologică și practică, pentru a contura o imagine clară și fără echivoc cu privire la pașii care trebuie parcurși în cadrul fiecărei etape de lucru din cadrul modelului de calcul al indicelui producției industriale, în scopul de a transparentiza acest proces și în același timp de a pune bazele unui sistem de lucru unitar, general aplicabil și eficient la nivelul direcțiilor teritoriale de statistică din țara noastră.

CALCULATION MODEL OF THE INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION INDEX AT COUNTY LEVEL BY USING THE MICROSOFT ACCESS PACKAGE
Abstract
In the context of the withdrawal of the technical support provided by Microsoft for the Visual FoxPro programming environment, starting with 2016, it was necessary to identify new viable solutions for the continuation and implicitly to improve the quality of the calculation model of the industrial production index at the level of the territorial statistical directions in Romania. . Another major advantage of using this model is the use of the potential of the statisticians from the synthesis departments of the Territorial Statistics Directorates by giving up the development of specific computer applications for programming environments without an intuitive graphical interface and the use of a more friendly platform, which will allow the predominant focus of the attention of the personnel involved on the statistical essence of the content of the processed data. At the same time, the use of the Microsoft Access package also contributes to the overall cost reduction process, given that it is already pre-installed on most computers in the institution.
In this paper, the main coordinates of methodological and practical nature are described in detail, in order to outline a clear and unequivocal picture of the steps that must be taken within each working step within the calculation model of the industrial production index, in the aim to make this process transparent and at the same time to lay the foundations of a unitary working system, generally applicable and efficient at the level of the territorial statistical directions in our country.
