Assessment of existing potential for agro-tourism in the regions of Azerbaijan (Ganja-Gazakh economic region)

Abstract

Development of tourism in the Republic of Azerbaijan is one of the most important economic policies. Thus, the state’s interest in tourism, which has a significant share of the non-oil sector, can be expressed in several ways.
Alternative tourism aims to offer tourists a rural lifestyle and experience of living in nature, not only with traditional tourism, but also with quality tourism products, among the existing problems of mass tourism. In this regard, alternative tourism draws attention to local culture and offers quality services and tourism products by providing direct communication and different experiences between tourists and service providers. As an alternative type of tourism, mainly agritourism can be used as such a tourism service. Agrotourism has the ability to optimally meet all the needs of tourists.
